This blog is about my musings and thoughts. I hope you find it useful, at most, and entertaining, at least.

Today I woke up early and was tired all day; hence, I didn’t get much done. I worked a little on calculating heats of formations from first principles. My boss gave me a “parker” pen. I’m not sure what’s so special about it, but he loves it.
For lunch, my boss and coworkers took me to this place whose name they never told me; they just said “5 Guys,” and since there was only 4 of them, I decided to come so they could get in. When I got there, I was confused as to why they needed 5 guys to get in, I didn’t see anyone count us. Oh, well; they had an excellent cheeseburger. It was a double patty with lettuce, mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, A-1 sauce, onion, and I put fries on it. It was so good. I hope that they open one of them out where we live.
As I was walking back home, there was this small, furry, quadruped rodent. I had never seen anything like it. It was so cute and stood up and sat and looked at me. When it saw me, it run up the tree. Up the tree! It was so cool to watch. I should have gotten video of it, but I was so stunned that I didn’t think of it.
Still getting to know people here. I’m talking with my coworkers a little more now. The one, cute intern in the other biomed group waved at me as I walked down the hall. I wonder if it would be worth it to talk to her a little, and maybe ask her to lunch or something. Haha, I don’t know all that much about her, so it feels awkward. I guess I’m at the point, though, where I should at least start meeting other people. Keep all roads open, but find other ways over the mountain too?
I haven’t done much exploring yet. I really can’t wait to start! Exploring is fun; that’s why I’m in science:)
