A Make file for your school report?

I like to use LaTex2e for my school papers as it looks prettier and allows the insertion of bibliographies and math easily. I just feel like the set-up time, especially the first time using it, is quite high.

I guess this has always been the case and is just overlooked because once it’s set up and once you’re back in the LaTex flow, it’s actually quite nice to use (though it can be finicky). I’ve also just setup a makefile for building the document and converting it to a PDF or PS.

I also can’t find a good converter to HTML. I’ve tried latex2html and it barfs on biblatex. I’m debating trying hyperlatex since I don’t quite feel like setting it all up (and a lisp environment) at the moment.
